VisitorAtlas

Deskripsi

VisitorAtlas by Liberty Dynamics shows where your website audience comes from.
See VisitorAtlas in action on the live demo.
Use [visitoratlas] or the compatible [ps_live_visitor_globe] shortcode.

Core includes Globe and North-Pole-centered Polar Azimuthal projections, Satellite / Natural Earth and photorealistic maps, live and historical visitors, site/page
scope controls, an administrator-selected visitor period, approximately 100-mile
regional zoom, click/tap visitor details, channel-level acquisition summaries, UTM link building
with saved-link history,
and WordPress/Ultimate Member account attribution. Core can also email a branded,
timezone-aware weekly summary with traffic, pages, countries, sources, comparisons,
and conversion events. Existing conversion storage
and trusted PHP APIs remain available for compatibility and extensions.

Administrators choose the default projection and can optionally expose an icon-only
Globe/Polar switch to visitors. Polar mode mathematically reprojects the selected
2:1 equirectangular texture, uses the WordPress site clock for seasonal daylight,
uses a fixed 90-degree top-down North Pole view, masks geography and visitor
markers outside a hard-edged oval daylight cutout in an administrator-selected
top, right, bottom, or left position, supports bounded placement panning within
the frame, disables stars, and provides a numeric black-area alpha control that
can reveal the underlying map and visitor markers without altering
visitor records. Existing
installations continue to use Globe with the public projection switch off until
an administrator changes them. Administrators can rotate the complete Polar Sun
and geographic daylight field in 90-degree increments.

VisitorAtlas Pro is a separate add-on. It supplies Elementor Forms, configurable MailPoet,
Mailchimp for WordPress, Gravity Forms and WPForms adapters; Political, Dark
Earth, Light / Minimal, Country, Acquisition, and Visitor Heat Map styles; custom
Media Library textures; detailed acquisition and conversion reports; and bot traffic
reports. Pro is not embedded or payment-locked inside core.

All administration is under VisitorAtlas. No license server, telemetry service,
remote executable scripts, or advertising SDK is included.

Privacy and external services

When IP geolocation is enabled, your server sends a visitor’s server-observed IP
to https://ipwho.is/ to obtain approximate city/region/country and coordinates.
This service is off by default on NEW installations; enable it in Settings after
reviewing your site privacy requirements. Existing installations retain their
prior enabled behavior. Provider terms: https://ipwhois.io/terms
Provider privacy policy: https://ipwhois.io/privacy
No raw IP is stored in plugin tables. Approximate coordinates are rounded to two
decimal places; zoom never increases the accuracy of the underlying location.
The plugin uses a browser identity/first-acquisition cookie and browser storage,
retains salted identifiers, visited page paths without query strings, approximate device type and browser family, acquisition
source/medium/campaign, timestamps, and linked WordPress user IDs where available.
For detected bots it also stores a category, type, and recognized name, but not
the full user-agent string. Detected bot visits follow the same retention setting.
Conversion storage retains attribution and hashed external event identifiers;
provider form fields and email addresses are not copied into conversion rows.
Administrators control exclusions and retention. Public map data includes
approximate places, page paths and visit times. Review whether displaying it is
appropriate for the pages where you place the shortcode.
No privacy consent manager is included. Integrate with your site’s consent
workflow where required. Turning off geolocation does not disable acquisition.
Existing retention cleanup remains active unless Unlimited is enabled. Changing
Visitors since only filters the display. Deactivation/deletion does not purge
stored plugin tables or options.

Instalasi

  1. Install and activate VisitorAtlas from Plugins > Add New.
  2. Open VisitorAtlas > Settings and review the tracking, privacy, retention, and display options.
  3. Add the [visitoratlas] shortcode to the page where the visitor map should appear.

VisitorAtlas Core works independently. The optional VisitorAtlas Pro add-on adds provider integrations, additional map styles, and detailed reports.

Tanya Jawab

What does “This Page Only” mean?

It shows retained sessions that visited the current page. A session can remain active according to the configured recent-visit window, even if that visitor subsequently browses another page.

Can several visitors share a dot?

Yes. IP geolocation often places many visitors at the same approximate city coordinate. Select the location and use Previous and Next to browse its records. VisitorAtlas does not add artificial offsets that might imply a more precise personal location.

What does the regional zoom show?

Approximately 100 miles across the shorter dimension of the visualisation at its centre. Global raster textures may appear soft at close zoom because they are not street maps. Automatic rotation stops above 2x zoom. Reset View returns to the world view.

Are all visitors shown?

The configured marker limit applies. The counter indicates when a limited sample is displayed, and the location list has its own configured limit. Visitors without geolocation remain available to acquisition tracking but do not appear as map markers.

Does VisitorAtlas store raw IP addresses?

No. When geolocation is enabled, the server-observed IP address is sent to ipwho.is to obtain an approximate location, but the raw IP address is not stored in the VisitorAtlas database. Approximate coordinates are rounded to two decimal places.

Is VisitorAtlas Pro required?

No. VisitorAtlas Core operates independently. Pro is a separate optional add-on that provides additional map styles, form-provider integrations, detailed acquisition and conversion reports, and bot-traffic reports.

What happens if a saved map style requires an inactive Pro add-on?

Core falls back to Satellite / Natural Earth without deleting the saved Pro style or VisitorAtlas data. Reactivating Pro restores the additional styles and configured integrations.

How does the weekly email report work?

When enabled under VisitorAtlas Settings, the report summarises the previous completed seven-day reporting period. It can include traffic, pages, countries, acquisition sources, comparisons with the preceding period, and conversion events. Administrators choose the recipient and delivery weekday.

Does deactivating or deleting the plugin remove its stored data?

No. Deactivation and deletion do not automatically purge VisitorAtlas tables or options.

Log Perubahan

2.6.14

  • Scope globe interaction and focus styles to the VisitorAtlas component so dashboard controls cannot affect the surrounding WordPress administration interface.
  • Prepare the complete MailPoet reconciliation queries with placeholders.
  • Use a fixed, allowlisted conversion column list and placeholder layout for atomic conversion upserts.

2.6.13

  • Register and enqueue frontend and administration scripts and styles through the appropriate WordPress APIs and hooks.
  • Replace directly printed administration script and style blocks while preserving the Upgrade to Pro menu behavior.
  • Adopt visitoratlas-prefixed canonical PHP APIs, hooks, REST routes, AJAX actions, cron names, and asset handles while retaining compatibility aliases and stored data from earlier releases.
  • Update the Plugin URI to the accessible VisitorAtlas product page.

2.6.12

  • Allow all generated UTM links to remain saved until an administrator deletes them.
  • Correct bundled third-party notices filename references.
  • Improve WordPress.org repository readiness and validation.

2.6.11

  • Added a styled Share button at the public map frame’s top right, above the Globe/Polar Azimuthal projection switch.
  • Shares the VisitorAtlas demo campaign link and description through the native Web Share API, with clipboard and manual-copy fallbacks.

2.6.10

  • Add one frontend Play/Pause rotation button beside Reset for both Globe and Polar Azimuthal projections.
  • Fit the default and minimum Polar zoom so the Earth diameter equals the frame height while keeping the North Pole centered, and retain the Globe model’s inward zoom range.
  • Restore the World view label for the Polar Azimuthal frontend.

2.6.9

  • Apply a Gaussian daylight-edge blur with a normalized sigma of 0.03 for a tighter transition than earlier Polar renderers.
  • Load the Gaussian helper in the correct fragment-shader scope so WebGL initialization and visitor-data loading complete normally.

2.6.8

  • Retain the 2.6.7 daylight-mask and black-area behavior while reducing the east/west fillet radius to 0.14.
  • Increase only the Polar Azimuthal map and visitor-location scale by five percent around the centered North Pole.
  • Scale the Sun and declination-driven northern terminator with the map while keeping the south, east, and west mask limits stationary.

2.6.7

  • Provide a Polar-only Black area alpha number field from 0 to 100; 100 fully blacks out the exterior map and visitors, while 0 reveals both completely.
  • Replace the feathered daylight-mask boundary with a hard edge and apply the same black-area alpha to the map and visitor layers.
  • Treat the enclosed projected oval as daylight and render everything outside it as black, with the daylight marker inside the oval.
  • Restore the Polar-only Daylight position control so 0°, 90°, 180°, and 270° place the daylight oval and marker at the top, right, bottom, and left respectively.
  • Correct the seasonal north/south terminators: northern months move daylight northward, southern months move it southward, and the equinoxes meet at the poles.
  • Round the east and west junctions where the hard daylight oval meets the Antarctic rim, without adding opacity or feathering.
  • Extend the east and west terminator endpoints to the globe’s full radius so they meet the Antarctic rim at opposite points 180° apart.
  • Curve the outer daylight-mask corners inward while preserving the solar-declination placement of the north and south terminators.
  • Replace the flat-center, side-notch mask profile with a continuous curved arc from the seasonal center to both Antarctic-rim endpoints.
  • Restore the earlier full-radius seasonal terminator and round only its east/west junctions with the Antarctic rim using a hard-edged geometric fillet.
  • Reduce the east/west fillet radius by half for a tighter transition into the Antarctic rim.
  • Use a revised globe asset URL so same-version 2.6.7 replacements cannot reuse an earlier cached renderer.

2.6.6

  • Add a Polar-only Daylight position control with 0° top, 90° right, 180° bottom, and 270° left choices; existing installations retain the prior 90° right position.
  • Rotate the Sun marker, geographic daylight mask, twilight edge, and visitor-marker dimming together while preserving seasonal north/south exposure, placement panning, and black-area alpha.
  • Label the resting Polar scale as Earth view while retaining World view for the Globe and mileage labels at closer zoom levels.

2.6.5

  • Restore the undistorted geographic Sun-dot-product calculation so the east/west terminator anchors remain fixed while north/south exposure follows NOAA-style solar declination.
  • Scale map visibility through low solar elevations instead of treating every point just above the horizon as fully bright; around October 1 the North Pole is dark and the South Pole is only barely visible.
  • Keep the daylight texture, twilight edge, visitor-marker dimming, Sun position, black-area alpha, and placement panning aligned across equinox and solstice checks.

2.6.4

  • Match the supplied Polar daylight sample with a bright right-side daylight cutout whose terminator and outer edge feather into black, leaving no visible night-side globe outline at the default setting.
  • Add an administrator-controlled Polar black-area alpha slider from 0% to 100%; 100% fully hides the night map, while lower values progressively reveal its geography.
  • Update the admin preview live as the alpha slider moves and preserve seasonal north/south exposure, fixed east/west orientation, Sun alignment, visitor markers, and placement panning.

2.6.3

  • Keep the complete Polar map visible while rendering night geography as a very dark, readable surface instead of an empty black cutout.
  • Shape the right-hand daylight region as a bright rounded field with a broad feathered terminator and darker outer-rim falloff, following the supplied visual reference.
  • Keep the Sun marker, visitor dots, seasonal north/south daylight exposure, and placement panning aligned with the revised day/night rendering.

2.6.2

  • Illuminate the right-hand Polar region and place the Sun marker on that same daylight side while preserving seasonal north/south exposure and the feathered terminator.
  • Change Polar pointer and arrow-key dragging from geographic rotation to bounded horizontal/vertical placement panning of the complete Earth visualization.
  • Keep the Polar texture, daylight mask, Sun, visitor dots, and interaction hit targets aligned during pan, zoom, reset, resize, and automatic rotation.
  • Recenter Polar placement on Reset without changing existing Globe drag behavior or configured automatic rotation.

2.6.1

  • Lock Polar Azimuthal to its circular 90-degree top-down North Pole view while retaining horizontal rotation, zoom, and visitor interactions.
  • Correct the fixed daylight side and Sun marker to match the intended left-side exposure without reversing seasonal north/south illumination.
  • Feather the twilight edge more gently while keeping full night geography black and visitor-dot dimming aligned to the same daylight calculation.
  • Keep the geographic east/west terminator anchors fixed while WordPress-date solar declination adjusts north/south daylight exposure throughout the year.

2.6.0

  • Add a Core North-Pole-centered Polar Azimuthal projection using the existing map-style and visitor-data pipelines.
  • Add administrator default-projection radios and an optional accessible public Globe/Polar projection switch.
  • Add WordPress-timezone-aware solar declination, geographic daylight masking, a fixed Sun marker, and 75 percent night-side visitor-marker dimming in Polar mode.
  • Preserve existing Globe backgrounds and stars while forcing a black, star-free Polar presentation.
  • Keep Core/Pro style entitlements, custom equirectangular maps, traffic scope, history, zoom, and renderer lifecycle shared across projections.

2.5.0

  • Associate visits and conversion analytics with a stable primary tracked-site identity.
  • Safely backfill retained analytics during a resumable database upgrade.

2.4.2

  • Treat the Settings date as the earliest historical limit for globe data.
  • Add an optional frontend calendar that lets visitors choose a start date within the available history.
  • Keep globe markers, counters, live locations, and the displayed period synchronized with the selected date.

2.4.1

  • Move the detailed Human Acquisition Report, its queries, activity columns, Columns control, and row actions entirely into the separate Pro add-on.
  • Move all bot traffic report queries and presentation into Pro while retaining Core bot detection and human-traffic filtering.
  • Keep the Core Traffic Source Summary and Device & Browser Breakdown available without Pro, and add neutral reporting extension hooks for add-ons.

2.4.0

  • Add an optional Weekly Email Report to Core with a configurable recipient and delivery day.
  • Summarize the previous completed seven-day period with week-over-week metrics, top pages, countries, acquisition sources, and conversion events.
  • Schedule delivery at approximately 8:00 a.m. in the WordPress site timezone and keep scheduling aligned across timezone and daylight-saving changes.

2.3.9

  • Show the Upgrade to Pro admin-menu link in yellow.
  • Add a Device & Browser Breakdown below acquisition reporting. New visits record only broad device and browser categories; older visits appear as Unknown.
  • Add six Pro activity columns and a column chooser. Action totals require verified events from provider integrations or the trusted conversion API.

2.3.8

  • Add a shared globe refresh interval for the admin preview and public globes.
  • Prevent caching of live visitor statistics so public viewers receive current dots and counts.

2.3.7

  • Add a delete action to each saved UTM link in Core and Pro.

2.3.6

  • Add saved generated-link history to the UTM Link Builder.

2.3.5

  • Show live activity in the Core traffic source summary with the same green indicator used by Pro; refresh it every 30 seconds.

2.3.4

  • Remove site-specific MailPoet form tracking from Core; Pro supports configurable MailPoet form IDs.
  • Keep reconciliation for previously stored pending MailPoet conversions.
  • Describe Pro provider integrations without assuming a particular form ID.

2.3.3

  • Show a channel summary in Core; Pro unlocks source, medium, campaign, and conversion detail.
  • Keep bot detection and filtering in Core; show a locked bot report until Pro is active.

2.3.2

2.3.1

  • Restore the globe wrapper required for the admin preview, Dashboard, and public shortcode globe to render.

2.3.0

  • Satellite / Natural Earth is now the default Core style; removed Bright, Soft Daylight, and Wireframe choices. Prior saved Pro styles remain available when Pro is active.
  • Add Pro Country, Acquisition, and Visitor Heat Map views based on mapped human sessions.
  • Acquisition report rows now have a live indicator and refresh every 30 seconds. Reset starts a row’s visible totals from the reset time; Delete continues to hide it without deleting stored data.
  • Remove the button border weight and visitor data scope settings; rename Recent settings to Live.
  • Promote confirmed MailPoet signups and reconcile previously pending MailPoet events in background batches.

2.2.3

  • Promote pending MailPoet conversions on MailPoet’s confirmed-subscription event, including confirmations completed from another device or an excluded administrator session.
  • Recheck existing attributed pending MailPoet conversions against subscribed MailPoet records in small background batches after upgrading.

2.2.2

  • Refreshed the WordPress Dashboard acquisition bars every 30 seconds through a read-only, administrator-only request. The globe and bars continue to use their existing counts and tracking paths.

2.2.1

  • Clarified that the globe counter counts recent and mapped visit sessions, not page views or unique people.

2.2.0

  • Replaced the home reset icon with a circular reset arrow and joined the All/This Page scope controls into one pill.
  • Added image thumbnails and radio selection for globe styles, with locked Pro previews in Core.
  • Moved the globe preview above Settings, added Save Changes after each settings section, and removed the separate Live Visitor Globe menu page.
  • Added referral-spam domain detection and retroactive classification for matching stored referrals. Bot reports include referring domains.

2.1.0

  • Combined Globe Settings with Settings and added a globe preview there.
  • Added button appearance controls, stacked zoom/home controls, and a right-aligned location hint.
  • Classified bot sessions for reports and excluded detected bots from globe data and human acquisition totals.

  • Added bot totals and category/type/name breakdowns to Acquisition Sources.

2.0.4

  • Added a targeted MailPoet subscription bridge for an early deployment (removed in 2.3.4).
  • Keep unconfirmed subscriptions pending until MailPoet confirms them, with the original acquisition attribution.

2.0.3

  • Added Photorealistic — Bright and Photorealistic — Soft Daylight using the bundled NASA texture.
  • Preserved the existing Photorealistic appearance and saved settings.

2.0.2

  • Blue/white active scope and light-gray/black inactive scope, including hover/focus.
