Deskripsi
Nestero Integration for Fakturownia connects your store to Fakturownia.pl, a Polish invoicing and accounting service. Orders become VAT invoices without anyone retyping them.
The free version includes:
- connection to your Fakturownia account with an API token (the token is encrypted in the database and saved only after a successful connection test),
- automatic or manual VAT invoices triggered by the order statuses you choose,
- three modes: every order / only when the customer asks (checkbox plus every B2B order) / manual only,
- automation rules: business orders only, private orders only, skip orders worth zero,
- a tax number (NIP) field with checksum validation in the classic checkout, the block checkout, My Account and the order screen,
- customer deduplication in Fakturownia (external id / tax number) so you do not end up with two cards for one contractor,
- WooCommerce to Fakturownia VAT rate mapping per tax class, which tells a 0% rate apart from an exemption, and refuses to guess an unmapped rate,
- support for stores priced gross and net, plus a document total check after the invoice is issued,
- invoice delivery by e-mail: through WooCommerce (PDF fetched from the API, your own subject and body) or through Fakturownia,
- the invoice PDF attached to standard WooCommerce transactional e-mails,
- three layers of idempotency (lock, queue,
oid_unique) so one order never produces two documents, - detection of invoices issued outside the plugin, marked with an “external” badge,
- order screen actions: issue, retry, send e-mail, refresh status, cancel, unlink,
- retries with backoff (5 minutes up to 24 hours), with validation and authorisation errors handled separately,
- a dashboard, a filterable document list and logs that mask sensitive data,
- full HPOS and block checkout compatibility.
The Pro extension (sklep.nestero.pl) adds correction invoices for refunds (partial, repeated and amount-only ones), receipts and proformas, a numbering series per document kind, bulk operations on the orders list, a CSV export, a monthly report and WP-CLI commands.
External services
This plugin relies on Fakturownia.pl (https://fakturownia.pl), an external invoicing service. The plugin cannot issue any document without it: every invoice is created in your own Fakturownia account, identified by your account subdomain and API token.
The plugin contacts the API only when there is something to do — when an invoice or a correction is issued, when a contractor is looked up or created, when an invoice PDF is downloaded, when an e-mail is sent through Fakturownia, and once a day for a connection health check.
Data sent: the order’s billing details (first and last name or company name, address, tax number, e-mail address, phone number) together with the order items, quantities, prices and VAT rates. Nothing is sent for orders that are not invoiced.

Does the plugin send invoices to KSeF?
-
Fakturownia handles the submission to KSeF on its side, if your Fakturownia account is set up for it. The plugin checks the invoice data against KSeF limits before sending it, and shows the KSeF status Fakturownia returns when a document is issued or refreshed. Neither this plugin nor the Pro extension follows the KSeF status afterwards on its own — refresh the document on the order screen to see the current one.
-
Why was no invoice created for an order?
-
Every skipped order is logged with a reason: manual mode, a zero-value order, a business/private rule, or the customer not asking for an invoice. Check Fakturownia Logs, or open the order — the reason is shown in the metabox as well.
-
Can I run this plugin next to the native Fakturownia integration?
-
No. Two integrations issue two documents for the same order, and with KSeF both are sent to the tax authority. The plugin keeps one invoice per order: when Fakturownia already has a document with the order number, it does not issue another one and asks you to decide. A document the other integration issues at the very same moment cannot be seen in advance — the plugin then marks the order “Check” and does not e-mail its invoice. It also warns when another Fakturownia plugin, or the WooCommerce module in your Fakturownia account (Settings Integrations and add-ons E-commerce WooCommerce), is connected to the store — switch one of them off. The automatic invoice e-mail waits two minutes after issuing, so the plugin can see the other document first.

My checkout already has a tax number field from another plugin
-
The plugin reads the tax number from its own field first, then from Flexible Checkout Fields (
_billing_tax_no) and common VAT number fields (_billing_vat_number,_vat_number,_billing_vat_id). For any other plugin, enter its order field name in Settings Customers and tax numbers “Tax number from another plugin”, and switch off the plugin’s own field so customers do not see two. The company name works the same way: the WooCommerce “Company name” field first, then_billing_company_name, or the field set in “Company name from another plugin”. A company name is printed on the invoice instead of the customer’s name; the tax number decides whether it is a company invoice. -
Where is the API token stored?
-
Encrypted in the database with libsodium (XSalsa20-Poly1305), using a key derived from your site’s authentication salts or from the
NESTERO_FAKT_ENCRYPTION_KEYconstant if you define one. The token is never printed in full in the admin and is masked in the logs. -
Can a staging copy of my store issue invoices?
-
No. The plugin remembers the address of the store that was connected to Fakturownia. A copy under another address, or a site whose environment type is not “production”, sends nothing to Fakturownia. A moved store shows a notice with a “This is the production store” button; a test site can be allowed in Settings Advanced, but only connect it to a test Fakturownia account.
-
What does “needs review” mean on an order?
-
The plugin found something it will not decide for you: a document in Fakturownia with the same order number but a different buyer or total, or an issued document whose totals differ from the order. Nothing is e-mailed to the customer. Open the order, check the document in Fakturownia and choose what to do. Fakturownia Synchronisation lists all such orders.
-
Does uninstalling the plugin delete my invoice records?
-
No, unless you ask for it. The link between an order and its invoice number is often the only place your store remembers what a document was issued for, so it survives uninstalling. You can opt in to removing it in Settings Advanced.

0.9.3
- Buyer details on the invoice always come from the order. The plugin no longer sends a Fakturownia client ID: with it, Fakturownia took the buyer from the client card and ignored the order, so a customer whose card was created by an earlier private order got invoices without the company name and tax number, and with an old address. Fakturownia still links each document to its client by tax number, e-mail and name.
- A company name the customer enters is printed on the invoice instead of their first and last name, also without a tax number. Fakturownia replaced the name with the person’s name whenever both were sent. Whether the invoice is a company invoice (and goes to KSeF) still depends on the tax number; “-“, “none” and similar entries are ignored.
- The company name is also read from other checkout field plugins (
_billing_company_name, used with Flexible Checkout Fields), and any other field can be set in Settings Customers and tax numbers.
0.9.2
- Tax numbers from other checkout field plugins: Flexible Checkout Fields (
_billing_tax_no) and common VAT number fields are read automatically, and any other field can be set in Settings Customers and tax numbers. Before, such orders were invoiced as a consumer, without the tax number. - Payment gateways outside the built-in list (Tpay, PayU, Przelewy24 and others) print the payment method the customer chose, e.g. “BLIK”, instead of “Transfer”.
- The automatic invoice e-mail goes out two minutes after issuing. An invoice issued in the same second by the WooCommerce module in Fakturownia is caught, and only one invoice reaches the customer; the PDF is not attached to WooCommerce e-mails of an order flagged as a duplicate.
- The notice about another integration also recognises the WooCommerce module in Fakturownia (its webhooks and REST API key) and says where to switch it off.
- Cancelling an invoice from the order screen is confirmed correctly — Fakturownia marks a cancelled document by its kind, not by its status.
- An error while downloading a PDF no longer shows the API token.
