GALLERY

We believe that choice of the gallery system depends on you. We however recommend you to use the Meow Gallery.

PRO

Getting the Pro version will support us and the development of the plugin, and also add those features:

  • Preloading: the images will load faster (or even instantly) in the Lightbox.
  • Google Maps: if GPS is available in your image, a map will be available.
  • Deep-Linking: allow sharing an URL that will open the Lightbox directly on a specific image.
  • Slideshow: you can start a slideshow from the Lightbox.

IMPORTANT

By default, the selector is set for the classes ‘.entry-content, .gallery, .mgl-gallery’. If you need the Lightbox to be active for more selectors, you will need to update the settings. The plugin will apply the lightbox for images contained by the selector. For more information, please check the official page.

Jordy takes a lot of pride in the work he does, and it is reflected in his beautiful website, photos and plugins. His plugins solve simple problems in WordPress, and their feature sets are very focused. I like all of his plugins, and I buy the pro version for some and the free version for others. His plugins are all nicely grouped in the Admin backend, and consequently, they are easy to find. Configuration of his plugins are a snap; no complicated options which are very few. I have used his plugins for years now; and I have come to trust his development. Thank you Jordy for all your contributions to the WP community. It is appreciated!

I tried several plugins, but Meow Lightbox was the winner for me. Lightweight, attractive, exposes EXIF data. What more could you want???

Initially there were conflicts with other plugins such as an advertising plugin that pulled up the lightbox instead of the URL of the ad. But once these were addressed it just works. Nothing fancy. Just works. Lightweight.

Atendeu a todos os requisitos bΓ‘sicos como praticidade, estetica, e funcionalidade!
Tried many lightbox plugins but none of them are as good as Meow Lightbox. I require a lightbox which displays captions and is able to enlarge pictures. Only Meow Lightbox delivered. It is also very easy to set up. Very happy with the plugin.

In the past, I was using a WP media library plugin that had a built-in lightbox feature. It worked fine with any browser on a desktop computer, but on mobile devices, it was a hassle, the navigation was hidden and not really responsive at all as images had been cut off too. Luckily I did the research for a different gallery plugin and found Meow Gallery. The Meow Lightbox as an additional plugin is really a great add-on to the gallery. Meow Lightbox offers by far the most versatile settings to fine-tune the look and feel of my images on my WP site. I can choose from various themes, and I can make the lightbox work with my images, even if they are not used to be displayed by Meow Gallery. I can set up slideshows, block right clicks, enable download and bring social sharing to my images. I can incorporate many EXIF metadata to my images and decide which data should be shown means, for example, adding focal length, ISO, date, shutter speed, and so on independently. Meow Lightbox comes with a set of performance settings to speed up. Even a map that shows where images were taken (provided the photos have GPS coordinates stored in the EXIF data) can be displayed in a lightbox. But all the neat features would not count anything if the lightbox would not perfectly interact on all devices and sizes as Meow Lightbox does. I highly recommend evaluating Meow Lightbox and considering the pro version as I use it. Finally, a lightbox that really works and works for all devices.
