Not good for such an important part of a community site when you have a plugin-related bug. I moved to the websocket version of “better messages” plugin so it turned out to be a blessing. Even if you anticipate only slight modifications, this plugin is NOT for you. For example, you won’t get access to CSS styling as you get with most WP plugins. If you’re not an advanced code writer, you’ll need to hire a developer at extra expense to get what you want. Can’t recommend this plugin because Support is NOT all that helpful. I’ve never had any issues with the plugin, so never had to reach out to them. Due to the pandemic, however, I had to pause my subscription. They took a day or two to respond to it, but I was able to cancel it. They didn’t put up a fight about it either. Not saying you should cancel, unless you want to. I’m just saying that when the time comes to put it back up again, then this is the only chat plugin I would use. Tried to contact them to upgrade my account so I could purchase a higher tiered plan – contact form broken. Emailed them. Took 2 days to get a response of them forwarding to someone else to help. Another couple of days go by and nothing. Found another plugin in meantime so my site could be functional. Liked the other plugin better and its FREE. Support also responded within 15 min! Emailed iflychat to cancel my upgrade request and they got back to me in 10 min.
