Subscription stores lose revenue two ways: customers who choose to cancel, and failed renewal payments that quietly end a subscription nobody meant to end. Churn Solution works on both. This free plugin connects your WooCommerce or Paid Memberships Pro store to Churn Solution, shows a personalized cancellation flow to any customer who tries to cancel so you can offer a pause, a plan switch or a discount at the moment they are leaving, and lets Churn Solution retry a failed WooCommerce renewal payment against the customer’s saved card without the customer having to do anything.

What the free plugin does

  • Shows personalized cancellation flows in your own store when a customer clicks cancel, no code required
  • Captures the cancellation reason, written feedback and a session recording of the flow
  • Keeps subscriptions and orders in sync with Churn Solution, and re-enables its own webhooks if WooCommerce switches them off after failed deliveries

Instalasi

Note: You must have Paid Memberships Pro or WooCommerce installed and activated on your site.

Download, Install, and Activate

  1. Navigate to your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin
  2. search for “Churn Solution”, locate this plugin and click “Install”
  3. Instead, you can manually download the latest version of the plugin, then upload the .zip within “Add New Plugin” Page.
  4. Activate the plugin.

After Activation: Cancellation Flows and Other Configurations

  1. Visit Churn Solution website and either sign up for a new account or log in to your existing account.

  2. Follow the setup steps based on your payment/membership provider:

If your main payment provider is Paid Memberships Pro: * Connect your Stripe account. Make sure to use the same Stripe account linked to your Paid Memberships Pro.

If your main payment provider is WooCommerce: * Click “Connect to Churn Solution” to connect it with your created churn solution account * Connect your WooCommerce store by entering your Consumer Key and Secret. To generate keys: Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API, click Add Key, set the description to Churn Solution, permissions to Read/Write, then generate and enter the keys. Note: After installing the Churn Solution plugin, visiting the plugin’s page in your WordPress dashboard and clicking on “Connect to Stripe” will guide you through these steps. However, it’s important to note that you will still need to create and publish the cancellation flows on the Churn Solution website separately. 3. Create and publish your first cancellation flow that will be displayed to your customers.

Does this plugin recover failed subscription payments or send dunning emails?

The plugin does the charging, not the deciding, and it never sends email. On WooCommerce Subscriptions it can retry a failed renewal order against the customer’s saved card off-session when Churn Solution asks it to, and it defers to WooCommerce’s own retry schedule so a card is not charged twice. The retry schedule itself and the dunning email and SMS run in the Churn Solution service on a paid plan, not inside WordPress. On Paid Memberships Pro this plugin covers cancellation flows only.

Does this plugin use 3rd party API?

Yes, Churn Solution make use of these APIs:
1. Koalendar, to enable users of reserving meetings with our team and reaching out easily. Terms of use: https://koalendar.com/terms.
2. Churn Solution SDK, our client sdk is used to render the cancellation flows and save your customers sessions and calculate analytics. Terms of use: https://churnsolution.com/terms-of-use/.
3. Stripe SDK, we include stripe sdk that allow us of taking subscription actions upon your website, for example, when a customer of yours accepts an offer. Terms of use: https://stripe.com/legal/consumer.

Great plugin to reduce cancellations!

We’ve been using churn solution plugin on our WordPress site, and it’s been awesome for cutting down cancellations. The A/B testing helped us try different offers and see what works best, and the AI feedback analysis gives clear insights on why customers leave. If you want to keep more customers, this plugin is a must!

I’ve been using the Churn Solution plugin for a few months. Setup was quick and didn’t require coding. The best part is the cancellation flow with the built-in survey.
